These are very easy, and kid-friendly crafts that make great gifts! They are also very inexpensive to make. You can find all of the materials at your local dollar store and/or Walmart.
These are memo boards made from acrylic picture frames ($1 at Walmart or at your dollar store).
You will need:
- Acrylic picture frames
- Scissors (decorative if you choose)
- Scrap paper
- Double sided tape
- Rubber stamps/inks
- Various stickers or ornaments, buttons, ribbons, etc.
- Little pens to attach to the memo boards (I buy them 4/$1)
Like I said, you can buy all of these supplies at your local dollar store. I did buy some of my stamps at Michael’s though.
Just flip your picture frame upside down, and cut your scrap paper to fit the frame. You can layer your paper for borders, prettier designs, etc. Choose your stamps, words, saying, etc. Slide the paper inside the picture frame.
If you want to add any stickers or decals, add them to the top of the picture frames.
Using your double sided tape, attach a memo pad to the top of the frame. I like to stamp the pads with a stamp that matches the design of the memo board, but that’s entirely optional. In this one, I also added a little dog decal I had, and I stamped the memo pads with a little dog bone. It states “Dogs are not our whole life, but they make our lives whole.”
Here’s another one I made with a tan paper, stamp, and a red ribbon tied and taped to the center.
I stamped the memo pads to say “WOOF!”
Here’s a Friendship one, and a Queen Bee one. I added little pens to these and taped them.
The orange one says “Enjoy Your Day” on the left hand side.
The purple one I punched out the paper at the bottom to give it a lace look and added a ribbon to the top and a pen on the side.
I also added stickers that I picked up at my local dollar store.
These make cute gifts that can be custom made for any occasion. Teachers, friends, co-workers, family, etc. That odd person you have to buy for and have no clue what to get them? Everyone uses memo pads!
